about

Tracks 6, 7 & 8 were recorded around 2007; track 3 was written in 2012 using a theme and arrangement from the 2007 session. tracks 1, 3, 4 & 5 were written in 2012. These are my most recent tracks, completed in November 2012. Recorded using Reaper and VSTs throughout, except 2, which uses "found sound" recordings of clock chimes, bakelite telephone dials, some dubious ansafone messages and the ticking of a hundred year old pocket watch. The music (a shameless homage to Vangelis) has been described by one questionable listener as "exquisite". Whatever you were on, Alan meladdo, I wants me some o' that good shit.

Delia Derbyshire, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Jerry Goldsmith are among my muses. ... more
